….Good morning America. How are you? My name is Sunrise Guy. I always had a passion for photography, music, acting, and writing. Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to Jupiter, Florida 25 years ago to look for a new life and a place to call home. I had a successful construction company and recording studio in PA and FL for most of my life. I still have that 8 track – 16 track analog recording studio in Jupiter, FL., for my pleasure.
I shot countless rolls of film in my early days and had a darkroom next to my recording studio. I shot a wide variety of images in those days…I even did weddings on a regular basis, and created record album covers for musicians who recorded at my studio. I still have a few rolls of film in my refrigerator and my film cameras are still working fine.
When 2007 arrived I became restless and needed another change. Starting out as a morning trip to the Jupiter Beach to shoot the sunrise, this routine continued day in and day out. My images were published in the local paper frequently. Locals began to see me at the beach on a daily basis.…...one by one I have new friends and customers and my new life arrives. I went forward and never looked backed.
….Since 2007 I have compiled over 70,000 digital images and 1,000 sunrise shoots. I’ve been fortunate to get many publishing’s of my images in the local newspapers, also a few books and galleries. My early images have been on display at the Maltz Jupiter Theater (formerly Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre) in their Gallery….. September and October of 2007. I am a freelance photographer living off the sunrise. Seems everyday I am California Dreamin’ where I lived for a brief time. In California I was a bartender at Doug Weston’s Troubadour , but always wishing to reach the bright lights. I ended up the Sunrise Guy in my Jupiter paradise by the sea…and thank God everyday when his Sun Rises. The brightest light of all.
….I have written and published two poetry books and recorded and published many songs. Published a paperback in 1990 called Buying Time, a composition of 85 songs and poems. I have written hundreds of short stories and have written and composed 100 songs. Recorded a cassette single and 45 rpm record in 1989 Titled Pushin’ Me On (the flip side) Dynamite Road. The lyrics of my songs and all my life experiences intertwine into my short stories, books, and photography. My Book Buying Time and Cassette Single Pushin’ Me On is still available.
This new improved WordPress website has been on my list for many years…My old website SaltarPhoto.com was ancient, in disrepair and terminated when SunriseGuy.com was launched. I spent 3 months of website building before this website was launched…I wanted it to shine and be the best I could share with the www. I’m still fine tuning all its features to make it an optimized viewing pleasure for everyone. It was truly a labor of love organizing and re-editing countless image files, and bringing the old website to rest. I had the time of my life going back over a decade of memories….Since I’m OCD to begin with…organizing this website was a pleasure.
